OUR THEME THIS TERM IS: Why do you love me so much?

Welcome to the new school term, a big hello to all our parents and children. We hope you have had a relaxing break over the summer and are ready and raring to go for the new term ahead!

This half-term we will be working with children to help settle them into school life. This term we will be building on initial starting points of children's knowledge, understanding and imagination about themselves and their relationships with others. Children will be working in small and large groups, taking turns to share ideas and conversation. They will also gain a better understanding that playing and working together can help them get on better, as well as building better relationships.

Further into this term once children are more settled we will be holding an information evening based on how we teach reading. This meeting covers how we teach phonics and how we support and develop children's reading and writing skills. We will also discuss an exciting tool we use to celebrate your child's learning.

Overall the EYFS staff at Tottington primary want all our children to do the best they can, feel safe and be happy and confident. We also hope that you will enjoy working in partnership with us to help your child aim high.
