Free School Meals
FREE SCHOOL MEALS INFORMATION
If you are claiming any of the following benefits, you may well be eligible for Free School Meals:
Income Support
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
income-related Employment and Support Allowance
support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
Schools receive extra funding from the government for each child who qualifies for free school meals because of income. If you receive a qualifying income please apply, even if your child doesn't eat the school lunch, because this extra funding will benefit your child's education. Please help us - the school will not receive the additional funding unless you make the claim.
Could you be eligible? It's easy to find out: just complete the online application form below (you will just need your National Insurance number).
If you're entitled, we will get notified automatically and we can start providing meals.
