On-line learning
At Tottington Primary School we see the value of using technology and the internet to provide a range of enriching, exciting and immersive learning opportunities for our pupils.
One of the most important skills children need to succeed in their future, is how to communicate via digital technology. There’s no doubt that the future will require interacting with other people online from different cities and countries online. Often in times of crisis, new opportunities emerge. The pandemic has unwittingly brought new opportunities to learn on-line and interact with others from all over the world. In the process of doing this, our children are gaining fluency in the most important skills required to navigate the 21st century. All these new skills will be useful for them in the future as nearly every job now requires some degree of computer literacy. Who knows, your child might be the next Steve Jobs or Elon Musk!
E-Safety
Staying safe on-line is a high priority at our school and we ensure that systems are put in place to protect children when they are working on-line in school. We also provide children with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe when they are on-line outside of school.
